RE: nitrogen for tires

If the advantages are like cars, which are they will run cooler with the nitrogen, they will maintain a more consistant pressure. The disadvantages is you cannot refill with compressor air. They need to maintain at least 70% nitrogen.

RE: Lightning

I would think its like a car. It has rubber wheels that would act like a ground.

Power Jacks????

I have a TT that weighs 3600#. I am looking to get a power jack for it. This jacking up and down is for the birds. I am looking at either the Atwood or the Barker. I like the fact the Barker has the emergency crank on the top, but I have been told its under the level and water can get in there and mess it up? I have also been told that its next to impossible to find the internal ground? The Atwood has the emergency crank but its under the white case. I can get a Barker cheaper than the Atwood. What lifting capacity should I get? I have a 2 1/4". What brand is better?

weird noises coming from hitch???

The last time I towed my TT I noticed alot of sqeaking coming from the hitch. I do not have any lube on the points that are getting worn. Is this normal. It is only my second tme towing it. I took it in for the Dometic recall. The dealer told me to put some lube on the places where I could see wear......is this correct?

This maybe a stupid question but I bought a set of levelers for my TT. How do you put them on? I knw they stick on but what do I need to do to get them where they read correctly? I cant believe it is that hard but I want some input before I mess up.

RE: jayco question

I just purchased a Antiqua and I told the dealer to keep the grill. I do not know from experience but I will say I am a FF and 2 things that turn me off are: hot grill mounted on a combustible trailer, and to top it off a quick disconnect that is fed with propane which we all know is very volitle( it actually runs from the tanks in front to the coonection on the side). I personally would rather purchase a grill and have it away from my camper. Just My 2 cents.

Looking For?????

I bought a 19" lcd(sharp) with a built in dvd player. I am looking for a mount for it. I would like a munt that will attach to the underside of the cabnet. All the ones I have found is sidewall mount. What are you using? I am still trying to figure out what power jack I want. My trailer weighs 3600#'s. I believe I have a 2" hole. Is ther any way I can tell for sure. There is a little gap on the underside of the jack.

RE: Dumping black water??

My metersays it is 3/4 full. I am not sure if it is from winterizing or not? How much liquid do they normally put in for winteriztion? Either way I found a local campground that charges 10 bucks to dump.

Dumping black water??

I am new to this and I have never had expiernce with this. I think its a pretty simple thing. I just purchased my Antiqua and it has some black water left in it. What do I do?? Can I call a local camp ground and take it there to dump? Do they have water supply there so I can wash out my tank? I purchased one of those things that you hook to a water hose and stick it in the tiolet to rinse tank.

What gives w/ Thousand Trails???

When we purchased out TT they gave us a 3N 4D stay at Thousand trails. Upon looking at some blog, we found its like a time share except a really expensive timeshare. The maintance fees are like 500 bucks a year and the actual membership can run in excess of 10000. Is this correct info?

From what I read on the recall site it said at no cost to you(consumer) you can get the fix. I hope when I take it to the dealer they do not say its gonna cost me...........if so I will not be happy. I will get on this first thing monday. I wil keep you posted.

2006 Starcraft Antiqua 215dbb

Just purchased I paid 10,900 w/hitch stabilizer and brake control. The trailer is in like new condition. It has a bunch of options. I have a 03 dodge dakota w/4.7 and it pulls it really good. I didn't pull it too far but I still got 10.7 MPG. I am just wondering if I got a good deal or not? I am happy with the deal and I guess that is all that matters. Looking for a little input.
